Gender vs Sex

Only two sexes.   A Presidential Executive Order.

In some ways I agree with that, scientifically speaking, just taking the physical aspect as the criteria.

We are all born with a set chromosomal genetic base of YY or XY.  That genetic code is in every cell of our body, and at this date impossible to change or dictate.

So in some sense the fool is correct…but.   You know there’s always a but.

There is a definite correlation to sexual orientation and sexual identity (the “gender” discussion) and brain patterns.   I firmly believe that transsexuality and homosexuality are as natural as heterosexuality.  Why do we keep denying that fact?

Do people really believe these are a personal choice?   That we have made a conscious decision to change from the norm and be this queer individual.

Go ahead and ask gay men, or transsexuals if they have ever wanted to be “straight“ or normal.  Why?  Only because society has made it damn near impossible to live a fully happy life..

Being outside the norm is damn hard.  Look at the rate of alcohol or drug abuse, the rate of suicide in these populations are they are way outside the norm.

Why?  Because society makes it so damn hard to be an individual.  ANY individual.   Because there is a fear that comes from anything different than normal.   Those are the fears of narrow-minded people, rigid boxes to be ticked off.  If you’re outside their boxes you don’t belong.

Transsexuality and homosexuality are as natural from a mental perspective as any other part of our human nature.  They’ve existed forever but have been denied for centuries.

Human nature.  That’s what rules our thoughts and decisions outside of our physical sense.

My fear with these “orders” is where they are leading.   Is the next step to ban any and all support for those of us that are individuals that only express our true nature?  Will sexuality identity be confined to heterosexual and no another?

Will the gay and trans community suffer, only because they live within their true nature?   But to do otherwise is not living either, it’s misery.

Trust me, I know the misery of not being the natural person I was intended to be.

I truly believe the saying “Transition or die” to be true, even if that death is a life wasted.

If I was a religious person I would pray there are enough sane and open-minded people in the world to continue the path to acceptance.

This too will pass?

Not until a lot of people are hurt.
