Gender revolution

I‘m starting a new movement, complete with buttons and t-shirts, one-size fits all ball caps, and little cocktail flags, A code of conduct, a secret hand-shake and annual conventions.

Okay, no convention. But I’d really like the handshake.

The Anti-Gender Establishment.  AGE for short.

“Wait a sec, aren’t you the trans person searching for enlightenment?”  your tempted to ask I can tell.  But I’ll keep preaching on this until the cows come home (Kansas is big on cows).

I am steadfast in favor of gay, lesbian, and trans men/women‘s rights.  The right to employment, marriage and both private and public health care.  The right to vote, pay taxes and serve our countries.

I’m in favor of everyone, whatever race, creed, color, sexual identity or orientation,  including whatever religious beliefs they hold, to the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I’m just opposed to using the term “gender”.  “Gender” is being overly used in an attempt to define a big fat superfluous blob of personal preference.

People believe “gender” is quantifiable, like a linear scale, feminine on one end, masculine the other.  With a huge chasm between the two requiring you to choose sides.  Jump over.

It’s an ocean in depth and vastness, and ever changing.

Even the definition of “gender“ doesn’t make sense: sexual identity x socially accepted norms.  The whole concept falls apart.

Socially accepted norms.   Whose norms are those, because that’s an even bigger can of worms (also big in Kansas).  That’s country by country, religion by religion and throw in generational influences for good measure.

In the US and Canada we’ve just about granted full equality and mainstream status to the LGBT community.  Almost.  Just don’t go any further than I-70 in the States and you’re fine.  Except Montana of course.

Now even in these countries you’re seeing major backlash caused by this over zealous attack on normalcy.  Not only are trans people’s rights at risk, the rights of the gay and lesbian communities are being discussed in louder voices from those opposing this “norm”.

But in many countries, and most religions, being gay or lesbian will get you thrown in jail or worse.  Making the use of “gender” even more befuddling.  Personally I believe being gay, lesbian or transsexual as natural and god-given as being straight.

The whole fad of transgenderism is now causing repercussions, the boomerang effect.  In reality the vast majority of us want to come out of the closet without burning down the house.  Have we been our own worse enemy?

I don’t need a label or pronouns to be happy, a month long celebration, or my own flag.  I’m happy with your flag, and the rights that go with it.

So the first action in this new movement is to try to get the medical community to change their forms back to read:

Your Sex:

Male   ____

Female  ____

Other       ____

Hey it’s a start.

Then we’ll attack the use of pronouns in our next flag-waving, bra burning cause.

(If I was smart I’d sell the AGE caps on Truth Social, and let those MAGA rednecks support a Queer in retirement.)

Just rambling, beats chasing cows or digging worms
