Transmania definition: the over-exuberant effect on transgender people, who, wanting to be accepted for simply being who they are, have waved the rainbow flag just a few waves more than needed. Source: TQK
“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” Basic Sir Isaac Newton physics 101 stuff.
Remember, this is my own opinion, someone who accepts themselves as Queer. And old and wise.
Did the addition of more letters and pronouns and demanding a rainbow flag on every school flagpole get to be too much? If you ask the average mister and missus, plain folks you know, the answer is yes it did. Basically live your lives like everyone else and get over it.
You don’t need a special day, or month even, with floats and parades and half naked men.
This over exuberance has caused a major uproar especially in those that have extremely black and white definitions of male and female.
At least under the eyes of their individual “God” or higher power. God did not create Adam and Eve and a Queer who really can’t decide if they’re happy with the current equipment or not.
You simply are not allowed to choose for yourselves.
“If God had wanted to leave that choice open he would have created a separate chromosome….blah blah”
So their pushback has resulted in further defining Queer people by restricting more of their rights. “They are not God given, so you can’t have them. Even the “Church” has condemned Queer people as a threat to mankind. Countries are making being trans a crime punishable by imprisonment or death. States are banning trans rights to marriage, benefits, insurance and hospitalization.
So has this movement benefited Queer people? Waving the flag, marching in huge parades and wearing enormous fake boobs to teach school (okay, bad examples of idiots exist everywhere.)?
Definitely.
Because now countries and states and provinces that support the rights of all people are
writing legislation that guarantees those rights no matter your sexual or gender preferences.
An inalienable right. We just may have to move to have those rights.
Moving ain’t so bad.
